We respect nature
- Stay on marked paths.
- Take your rubbish with you or dispose of it properly.
- Respect animals, plants and farmland.
- Enjoy nature without leaving a trace.
- Use water and other resources sensibly.
- Do not feed wild animals.
- Only have picnics in designated areas and at official fire pits.
We respect other people’s homes
- Respect private property and gardens.
- Be considerate in residential areas and in the evening.
- Ask people for permission before taking photographs of them or their homes.
- A friendly ‘Grüezi’ often opens more doors than any camera.
Travelling with consideration
- Make sure to keep waiting areas and walkways clear.
- Wait until it’s your turn.
- Follow the instructions of staff and emergency services.
- Allow plenty of time and enjoy the journey just as much as the destination.
- Be considerate of fellow travellers.
- Check in advance (Mürren and Wengen are car-free).
- Be considerate of goods transport and public transport.
