Timetable to Wengen

Wengen is car-free and can only be reached by train. If you’re travelling by car, you can park in Lauterbrunnen and then continue your journey to Wengen in comfort on the Wengernalp Railway. You can find the relevant timetable for your journey here.

Berner Oberland-Bahn

From Interlaken Ost, you can reach Lauterbrunnen on the Bernese Oberland Railways in around 20 minutes. Trains run every half hour and are split at Zweilütschinen. To get to Lauterbrunnen, you’ll need to be in the front section of the train.

Wengernalpbahn

At 19,114 metres in length, the Wengernalp Railway is the world’s longest continuous rack railway. It takes you directly from Lauterbrunnen to car-free Wengen. The journey takes you through stunning mountain scenery and lasts around 15 minutes.

Luggage transport to Wengen

To ensure you can travel to Wengen stress-free and without heavy luggage, there are various options available for luggage transport. You can either take your luggage with you on the train or use the SBB luggage service to have it transported directly to Wengen.
